Working Together for Justice in the Choctaw Nation

Founded on the Choctaw Nation’s core beliefs of faith, family and culture, the Choctaw Nation Judicial Branch exists to respect our citizens and allow their voices to be heard.

The Choctaw Nation judicial system is made up of the Court of General Jurisdiction, which includes the District Court and Court of Appeals, and the highest-level court, the Constitutional Court.

Honoring the Past, Serving the Future

Since its origins in 1832—and reestablished with a constitution in 1838—the Choctaw Nation Judicial Branch has evolved alongside the Nation, embracing enduring values while expanding and modernizing to better serve its people.

The proud legacy that began with courts in traditional district capitals continues forward in the modern, state-of-the-art Judicial Center, symbolizing both heritage and progress.
